May's Book Club Meeting

Yeahhhh, We had it at Landa's house (Thanks by the way) and we had fun and interesting discussions about the last Lecture. We all need to remember the dreams we had as kids and did we achieve them. I really learned to appreciate my husband and how I really want to enable the beautiful Dreams of my children.
Here we are watching a little of the Last lecture online. I love you guys and I hope you enjoy the meetings. I always learn a lot.

May's Book

The Daring adventure of the...
Set in France in the Late 1700's
An irresistible blend of romance, intrigue, and suspense, this timeless historical adventure recalls the terror following the French Revolution.
It is a play and has also been made into a movie.  Also Hale Center theatre is doing the musical  August 11 to Sept. 26th That should be lots of fun to have a group go together.

Sorcha's Journey...

We had a lot of fun talking about March's book at Briony's house. She Served Oat cakes, Onion and Barley Soup and yummy scones with butter and honey. It was great to talk about the Irish and their folktales. This was a great fairytale and I hope everyone gets a chance to read the rest of the trilogy: Son of the Shadows and Child of the Prophecy.

March Book:

Daughter of the Forest
The retelling of an Irish Faeirytale where a young woman must save her 7 brothers from an evil curse. Check it out is an addicting read.

The Spy wore (Spanish) Red.

Our book was about a woman (Aline Countess de Romanones) who was a spy during WWII for the US. It is a true account of her adventures in Spain and how she aided her country during the war.
